Our Team

Grand Slam's motto “Great Tennis, Great Teaching!” is supported by our highly credentialed and experienced professional tennis staff. Our professionals are all certified by either the USPTA or the PTR and in several cases both. Every member of our team is an expert in our Hitting Hot Teaching Model developed by Hall of Famer Ivan Lendl. All of them competed on a college team and some beyond. Each has completed the USTA Sport Science Competency Test and is certified as a Coaching Youth Tennis professional. Our entire professional staff maintains up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification and passes an annual personal background check to insure safety for all of our players and students.

We require our staff to maintain these varied credentials because our goal is to be the #1 tennis teaching facility in our regional market.  In order to reach that goal, we need to remain on the cutting edge of the tennis teaching profession. In addition to our required credentials, our team participates in a minimum of three hours of continuing education course work every month and our annual two full day workshop prior to each indoor season in August.

So to sum it up, our team of a dozen or so professionals:
• Have great playing backgrounds
• Are all certified by the leading tennis teacher associations and also are all certified as youth tennis coaches
• Are trained experts in our Hitting Hot Teaching Model
• Are well versed in the science of tennis
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and are thoroughly vetted every year

Most of all though, our professionals are passionate about helping each and every student reach whatever goal or goals they have in tennis. We gauge our success on how our students improve their skills and play. And we are very serious about our goal to be the #1 tennis teaching facility in our region!
